Whaam!

This highly sought-after diptych poster was created by the Tate, London after they acquired the original painting in 1963. It was first produced as a limited edition lithographic run of 1,450 copies in 1967 but due to their popularity, subsequent editions were produced in 1968 (2,000 copies), 1971 (2,000 copies), 1973 (2,500 copies), 1978 (2,500 copies), 1982 (3,000 copies), 1984 (3,000 copies), 1986 (3,000 copies) and 1988 (3,000 copies). The one we have available is from the 1982 edition.

Markings: 3M82 is printed on the end of the credit line. the '3M' indicates the amount of copies in the edition (3,000) whilst the '82' indicates the edition year (1982).

Condition: Excellent, very minor ageing of paper, never framed
