Graphic Works Anniversary Poster (Home)

This beautiful poster is a modern reprint of a hugely popular poster from 1976, created for a Hockney exhibition at the Louisiana Art Museum, Denmark. The reprint was commissioned to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Louisiana in 2018. 

The poster reproduces David Hockney's etching Home from his Illustrations for Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm, 1969. We love its crisp, clean qualities, its sense of calm and space. 

The British Council explains: "This was one of the few stories Hockney did not know before be began reading, and the imagery within the tale presented the artist with a number of challenges. The first plate Home was based on a drawing he had made whilst in Ireland and although not intended as part of the portfolio, Hockney decided to use it as the opening image."

This poster is printed on heavy, matte paper.
